“Roses are red,
And violets are blue,”
That’s how it starts,
Writing poems for you.
I’m missing a rhyme,
So I reform the words,
But I’m losing the meaning-
And that always hurts.
There’s always some more,
Just a little unsaid.
It’s hiding in the fog
That takes over my head.
And I know what I mean,
But will you see the truth?
After all, that’s the point
Of writing poems for you.
Something of love,
Or something of loss,
I’m unsure what to express
or the privacy cost.
I’ve come to the end,
And I’ve not given a clue
As to what it is,
Writing poems for you.
I like how you play with sounds and your rhyme. Great work!
