Finally Free

Alone, but resolute, I stand tall,
No longer enduring emotional squall.
Gone are the pretense, finished are the games,
No longer seeking logic amidst torturous flames.
No more disdain for my weakest of nights
No more targeted blame, no more endless fights.

Unapologetically me, I claim liberty,
No longer shackled by another’s authority.
Scars and charms, boldly displayed,
No longer fearing what each day may parade.

My boundaries steel, my spirit fierce,
I know in my heart, I’ll waste no more tears
For I’ve weathered the storm, emerged anew,
No longer withdrawn, no longer subdued.

I’m my own champion, my own perfect queen
And in my growing strength, I am finally free.
